DAVAO CITY, Philippines – September 21, 2019 – The 2030 Project, a non-profit, youth leaders’ volunteer-based initiative committed to attaining the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SGD) Agenda recognized Coffeebot Solutions founder and co-owner Jessica Madrazo as a Youth Champion during the Leaders Unite 2019 summit.

As the youth champion for SGD 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), Jessica spoke alongside sixteen other exceptional young leaders all over the Philippines. During her speech entitled “From Ground Zero To Hero,” she shared about her life-changing experiences in Marawi where she trained residents of the city right after the infamous siege.

As wrapped up her bit, she left a very eye-opening and hopeful message, “With the rise of online workers and digital advocates in Marawi, demand for better technology, infrastructure, and internet speed will follow, and will pave the way for a new type of employment in Marawi.”

An empowered woman and Mindanawon, Jessica is one of the nation’s pioneers in digital marketing and the online work industry. She was acknowledged for her role in advocating digital literacy and responsible use of social media through training and empowerment which she believes are catalysts in providing long-lasting solutions in today’s global economic and technological problems.

Jessica’s involvement in developing the Philippines’ online work landscape has been very significant. She played a vital role in developing onlinejobs.ph, which provided a job platform for Filipinos to be connected with employers all over the globe.

Despite her hectic schedule, she imparted her knowledge about working online in various sectors in the country. She was part of the training team for the Department of Information and Communication Technology’s Digital Jobs program. During which, she provided help and online work training to various rural areas in Mindanao, including the city of Marawi.

Local farmers and entrepreneurs were also given assistance by Jessica as a part of the Philippine Rural Development Projects Mindanao organized by the Department of Agriculture. She also played an integral role in the advancement of micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises through the Rural Impact Sourcing Training by the Department of Trade and Industry.
